A friend of mine shared this and tagged me in a post on Facebook earlier today. When I get on FB this evening, Richard Elfman has sent me a friend request. Super cool.
I love this picture. Look at the bb!Elfmans. *draws hearts*

We go everywhere, we see everything
We are falling, we are falling, falling to nowhere
Even if it’s just a small role.
He’s actually talked about this. He really doesn’t like acting. He had a tiny cameo in The Gift, and I remember him talking about having to be talked into that. Other than that he’s always been voice acting or singing on film. It’s my understanding that he just doesn’t feel all that comfortable on camera, and if you look at any red carpet interview, I think that possibly show how nervous he is.
That being said, if anyone was going to talk him into it, it would be Tim. Maybe someday they’ll do that collaboration. But, for now, I’m just constantly looking forward to whatever they come up with next. :)
HELENA I HAVE A GREAT IDEA. I CAN MAKE THIS FILM ABOUT UNDEAD THINGS AND YOU CAN BE IN IT! I’LL GET JOHNNY ON THE PHONE. WHERE’S DANNY’S NUMBER?
Probably at this point people just come up to him, say, hey we want to make a movie with your wife and your husband and your husband and curlicues and checherboard patterns. And he’s just like, okay, lemme know when it’s done so I can put my name on it.

well, son, let me tell you
I’m so pleased to meet you
the boys and I’ve been expectin’ to greet you
as guest of honor in the house of the dead
just relax, lay yourself down
say goodbye to your head

this is not a horse race
where winners beat the time
this is not a funeral
with mourners in a line
this is not a sitcom
where everything’s alright
this is not a prison
with terror through the night
